What is an FQHC

Federally Qualified Health Centers are federally funded nonprofit health clinics that serve medically underserved areas and populations and provide primary care services regardless of your ability to pay. As an FQHC, CIFC Health combines the highest standard of care with the reduction of barriers faced by marginalized populations. CIFC Health accepts both public and private insurance and offers services on a sliding fee scale based on the ability to pay.
FQHC's provide more services than your average doctor's office, with comprehensive health care available at CIFC Health clinics and with our Hospital partners when necessary. At CIFC Health, we have departments for internal medicine, pediatrics, adult and pediatric behavioral health, women's health, and dental. We also operate the Danbury "Suplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children" (WIC), providing nutrition support to pregnant and postpartum women and their young children.
