COVID-19 Testing Returns to Primary Care

The Greater Danbury Community Health Center (GDCHC) will be concluding its community COVID-19 testing program at 12 Boughton St as of June 30th, but we're still providing COVID-19 testing through our primary care services! As of July 1st, GDCHC will roll testing into its routine care in adult medicine and pediatrics. As we have made progress in the fight against COVID-19, we anticipate shifting our focus to expanding our primary care services, in an effort to better serve our patients.
You can still get a COVID-19 test: new and existing patients are welcome to contact the Greater Danbury Community Health Center if they would like to schedule a COVID-19 test as a result of exposure or symptoms! A provider visit to assess the patient may be scheduled (new patients will recieve an intake form), and instructions for receiving a test will be given.
If you or a member of your family would like to schedule a visit with a provider, please call us at: (203) 743-0100.

The cost of the specimen collection by GDCHC provider staff is covered in the medical visit, either billed to insurance or included the medical visit fee. Medical visits are always available on a sliding-fee scale for those up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. The cost of the lab processing is typically covered by insurance. Lab costs for uninsured or underinsured patients will be fully covered for those up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level - just provide the requisite information to GDCHC’s lab partner, Quest Diagnostics.
